Zaalyiah Giddens, a 15-year-old resident of Stockton, California, has accomplished a remarkable feat by graduating with a high school diploma two years before her peers. Despite being discouraged and told by the traditional school system that she could only graduate in 11th or a semester early in 12th grade as reported by ABC10, Giddens took advantage of hybrid learning options that allowed her to complete four years’ worth of high school courses in just two years.
She stated “I was told I couldn’t, that I can only graduate in 11th grade or a semester early in 12th grade. So I had the idea to graduate two years early, and I did just that,” she stated. But she persevered and exceeded expectations with the support of her mum Victoria Webb-Giddens.
