Coco Gauff, a 19-year-old tennis sensation, has recently won the U.S. Open women’s singles final, increasing her 2023 earnings or prize money to $5.6 million. Gauff has earned an impressive $11.1 million in prize money in her five-year professional career, making her one of the highest-paid female athletes in the world. Outside of the court, she has earned an astounding $12 million through endorsements, appearance fees, and other business interests in the last 12 months.

Following her win, Gauff said she is eager to keep playing and push her limits even further. Gauff’s success both on and off the court has made her one of the most marketable sports stars of her generation, and she recently became the seventh highest-paid female athlete in the world.

Her recent victory in the U.S. Open is expected to bring even more lucrative endorsements and deals. Joe Favorito, a veteran marketing consultant, and former executive with the WTA Tour and the U.S. Tennis Association, remarked that winning a Grand Slam will undoubtedly elevate her status and make her an even more valuable brand.

In addition, Gauff’s success on and off the tennis court has made her a beloved young star and one of the most marketable sports personalities in the world. Forbes estimates that she was the seventh highest-paid female athlete globally in 2022, with $3.1 million earned on the court and a staggering $8 million off it.

Gauff’s agent and parents have reportedly taken a considerate approach to endorsements and deals, leading to lower off-court earnings than expected. Still, Gauff has signed numerous contracts, including a deal with New Balance when she was only 14, and recently extended it in a new colourway of her signature Coco CG1 performance tennis shoe, called “All in the Family.”

Looking toward the future, Gauff aims to push beyond her limits and keep going further. She told The Associated Press, “I know that this feeling is incredible and I want to experience it again.” With her talents and strong marketing potential, there is no doubt that Gauff will continue to dominate both on and off the court for years to come.
