Snoop Dogg may have been the unexpected star of the Paris Olympics. The legendary rapper and entrepreneur, delighted the viewers with his antics and infectious energy.

From carrying the Olympic torch as a peace messenger to showing off his dance moves during the women’s gymnastics qualifying round, Snoop has made his presence felt in the City of Lights.

During a post-ceremony interview with Mike Tirico of NBC Sports, Snoop Dogg shared his powerful experience of carrying the Olympic torch and expressed that he felt like the great boxer, Muhammad Ali. “I felt like Muhammad Ali,” Snoop said. “I found out that when you hold the torch, you’re a peace messenger.”

“I was waving, shaking hands, kissing the babies — doing what I do, you understand me? Putting my foot in the pavement, letting the people know that we’re here. We’re here for peace, love, unity and great sportsmanship.”

He even took a swim lesson with Olympic icon Michael Phelps, joking about his lung power and world-famous love for marijuana. And when he took on the role of sportscaster for the USA vs. China badminton match, he didn’t disappoint, providing witty commentary and rapid-fire descriptions of the game action.

Snoop Dogg may be 52, but he’s still got the moves and the charisma to light up any room, or any Olympic event.
