Nature spices the world with varieties, but there is an African content that is fast fading into oblivion. As such, ignorance about models and lifestyles of the African heritage is getting deeper by the day. What Africa has and can contribute to the human family and the global space are beclouded by underreporting and apathy. This trend is compounded by the extant tendency whereby studies and funding of research about Africa have mostly been in the formal education sector which has, largely, produced poorly disseminated knowledge. In the same wise, the accomplishments of Africans across the spectrums of science, technology, sports, music, philosophy, and lifestyle have not been sufficiently showcased to serve as inspiration to the younger generations of Africans, exploring the potentials of the social media and the internet platforms as delivery vehicles. Africa Giant recognised that the business of learning about the sight and sound of Africa and Africans could appeal to a wider audience if coated in fun to make them more palatable and if the internet is deployed effectively to that end.

The phrase ‘AFRICAN GIANT’ was coined by Africa Giant in 2016. Africa Giant is a website dedicated to showcasing the contributions of Africans in Africa and the diaspora to world civilisation. From its vast array of artists and athletes to its endless supply of inventors, scientists, and top notch surgeons, Africa Giant aims to show the world that there is more to the continent than diseases, poverty, and corruption. Africa Giant has been able to embark on this mission by sharing positive and interesting articles.
