In 2019, an African Giant diaspora Rihanna became the world’s richest female musician after she racked up a $600 million fortune confirmed by Forbes.

Despite her rough childhood, Rihanna was determined to succeed. Since bursting into the scene in 2003, she has spun her triumphs in music into entrepreneurial gold, launching her makeup brand Fenty Beauty — co-owned by French luxury giant LVMH and with Sephora.

She recently rocked the classic African Hairstyle named Betsimisaraka hairstyle for the Vogue May Issue for 2020. Rihanna chose to represent her rich African roots. Her hairstyle is also a recreation of Reniss’ La Sauce look, who first rocked this hairstyle in 2016 for her famous song “Dans La Sauce”.

Yemi Alade, Lupita Nyong’o are on the list of stars who have been inspired by classical African hairstyles.
