An African Giant Ramarni Wilfred has had his name added to the list of great geniuses, the likes of Albert Einstein and Bill Gates. The young boy had a score of 162 in an IQ test, at age 11 Ramarni Wilfred scored higher in an IQ test than Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates and even Einstein. Scoring a high IQ of 162, has made him part of UK’s 1%.
Anthea, Wilfred’s mother, had always believed that her son has an extraordinary ability. At an age when his peers were beginning to form their first words and take their first steps, Wilfred was already reading an encyclopedia and discussing the news with his mother.
Two years ago, when Wilfred and his family moved to Romford, he had perfected his writing, reading and spelling skills. Although, Wilfred could have been promoted to an advanced class, his mother refused as she wanted him to grow up with his peers.
When he was 10, Wilfred was recruited by The Brilliant Club to join the gifted and talented program at St. Anthony’s school in Forest Gate. After been tutored by a lecturer with a PhD, he wrote an essay that got him a 2:1 grade and had a mock Oxford graduation. He was then asked to take the IQ test in Birbeck University. On learning that his score was 162, he was deeply astonished, given the calibre of people he had taken the test with.

An intelligent quotient, IQ, is tested through a series of standard assessments that are used to evaluate intelligence. This test can only be taken in physical locations as it has not been made available online yet.
Notable geniuses such as Albert Einstein, Bill Gates and Professor Stephen Hawking all have an IQ capped at 160. Wilfred’s score of 162 has placed him in the first rank, well above these famous intellectuals. However, Philip Emeagwali is alleged to have an IQ of 190, a Nigerian-born engineer, mathematician, computer scientist and geologist who is identified as “Father of the internet” invented a formula that spawned the Internet. However, Wilfred is humble and has acknowledged these men whose great works have established them as forces to be reckoned with.
Mensa, a large society of people with the highest IQs in the world, has extended an invitation to Ramarni Wilfred in light of his intellectual prowess. Present in more than 100 countries, this society serves as a platform that connects members and allows for intellectual exchange. An eligible candidate for this group has to belong to the upper 2% of the population, having scored a high mark on a properly administered and approved intelligence test.
“The only qualification for membership of Mensa is a high IQ. The original aims of Mensa were, as they are today, to create a society that is non-political and free from all racial or religious distinctions”. Mensa
Wilfred is glad to have been offered this immense privilege but does not really count himself important just because of his high level of intelligence. He has the belief that doing something special with his high IQ is what really matters. The Chief Executive of Mensa, John Stevenage has acknowledged Wilfred’s great potential and has offered him a spot in Mensa as a way to connect him with other geniuses and also help him to develop new skills.
Ramarni Wilfred is a science enthusiast at heart and despite his extraordinary ability, he aspires to study at Oxford University to become an astrophysicist.
