Olu Jacobs and Ajoke Silva were presented with membership certificates by the Audio-Visual Rights Society of Nigeria. The couple was also given an Icon award by the leadership of the organization. Olu Jacobs is a well-known actor in Nigeria and has starred in many movies and television shows.
His wife Ajoke Silva who is also an actress has appeared in several films and television series. The couple has been married for over 30 years and has three children. They are both highly respected in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The sum of N250,000 was presented to the iconic actors Olu Jacobs and Ajoke Silva by Audio-Visual Rights Society of Nigeria. The couple were honoured with membership certificates which qualify them to receive royalties anytime it is shared to members and an icon award during a ceremony held in Lagos at the Glover Memorial Hall in Lagos, on August 3, 2022. In attendance were some well-known faces from the Nigerian film industry including actress Monalisa Chinda, who came out to celebrate the accomplishments of two of its most beloved members.

The Chairman of the AVRS Mahmood Ali-Balogun stated that “Uncle Olu Jacobs is a well-established performer who has contributed to improving the image of the acting profession and has had a long history of active involvement both on stage and screen. Indeed his contributions to the growth of the audio-visual industry cannot be quantified.”
He also added that “It is just appropriate for the AVRS which is the sole government licensed collective management organization for audio-visual content to honour this Icon of the profession who should rightly be a leading member of the AVRS because of his body of works,’’
