“Foreigner’s God” appears to be the most ambitious project to come out of Nollywood in 2019. A movie by multiple award-winning producer/director Ifan Ifeanyi Michael is projected to excite movie fans in 2019.
So what is Foreigner’s God all about? Well, to put it simply, Foreigner’s God Set in 1947 Enugu, follows the story of English documentary photographer Pepper Claude (Kyle Colton) and his odyssey into the Igboland in search of a story. His bodyguard soon disappears mysteriously, and falls in love with Anya, an accused witch living under subhuman conditions in the heart of the jungle.
Ini Dima-Okojie plays Anya, and it will be interesting how she interprets old-era witchcraft. It also appears that there was a solar eclipse in Nigeria in 1947.

As the long wait for the release of Foreigner’s God continues, movie watchers were in for a big disappointment as the much-anticipated film failed to make it to the big screen.
Some industry insiders attributed the delay to production issues, while others blamed it on the fact that some great movies such as The Wedding Party and King of Boys have set the bar high for subsequent Nollywood movies. However, no one knows for certain what caused the holdup.
Regardless of speculations, people just can’t wait for the release of the movie – albeit in a limited run. And they were not disappointed. The movie was met with rave reviews, with many hailing it as a masterpiece.
However, according to Press Reader the producer Ifan, revealed that he has so much at hand with the movie “I have a lot going on with ‘Foreigner’s God’ coming out this year,” adding that he never planned to release it as earlier speculated. “I never planned to release ‘Foreigner’s God’ last year because I want it to be the main dominant film in 2019”.
