    Shortly after obtaining a Bachelor of Laws Honours degree from the University of Lagos, he moved to Canada with his wife in 2005. He has since practised law between Nigeria and Alberta for 16 years. In April 2019, he was elected as a Member of Legislative Assemblies (MLA). As minister of justice, Madu is responsible for overseeing the administration of justice in Alberta, including the management of court services, criminal prosecutions, and victim services. He has said that he is committed to ensuring that everyone in Alberta has access to justice, regardless of their background or circumstances.

    His position inspires a sense of togetherness towards a common purpose across the country for all Canadians, no matter their various backgrounds.
