Julius Malema, leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has recently revealed the main aim of the group which is to ensure that all countries in Africa are able to achieve economic freedom.
At the group’s second national people’s assembly, Malema stated that it is a natural course of action for the south to provide the path to financial freedom
Last week, Malema was reinstated as the president of the party, alongside the group’s top six leaders.
It appears that the party has ambitions that are much bigger than governing South Africa alone. According to Malema, the party should aim to have an impact in all places in Africa.
He revealed that the party wants to lead the whole continent and unite the countries together to have the same currency and economy.
With 44 seats in the parliament and representation in most cities, the EFF is the third-largest political party in South Africa.
The ambition of the EFF appears to be based on the ideas of Muammar Gaddafi, the late leader of Libya, who had wanted a United States of Africa.
