    The Nollywood groundbreaking film “Gold Statue” with star-studded casts is currently showing on Netflix.

    “Gold Statue” is a 2019 film written and directed by the veteran filmmaker Tade Ogidan and was recently acquired by Netflix which premiered on June 1, 2021.

    The epic movie presents some of Nollywood’s finest actors including veteran Sola Sobowale, Richard Mofe Damijo, Segun Arinze, Norbert Young alongside comedian Alibaba Akpobome, Gabriel Afolayan and Kunle Remi, Yvonne Jegede, Bisola Aiyeola and Rycardo Agbor, Kelvin Ikeduba and Kunle Fawole.

    Gabriel Afolayan and Kunle Remi are lead characters and with their great sense of humour played their role brilliantly.

    Bisola Aiyeola who is also known for her humour also brings this along into her role in Gold Statue.

    “Gold Statue,” tells the story of two young men who embark on an adventure in search of a Gold Statue treasure after one of them traced the artifact in question to his ancestry. An artifact inherited by generations, worth about $500m dollars but will have to risk the unimaginable to get hold of the ancestral artifact.

    Can a movie have so many lovable characters and a remarkable storyline at the same time, yet “Gold Statue” is one movie that pulled this off.

    Tade Ogidan also produced the popular movies “Dangerous Twins” in 2004 and “Family on fire” in 2011.
