“Farming” is a 2018 British film based on the autobiography of the writer and director of the film Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. The film, stars Damson Idris, Kate Beckinsale, John Dagleish, Jaime Winstone, Genevieve Nnaji, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

“Farming” tells the story of a child who is given up by his Yoruba parents to a white working-class family in London in the 1960s. The child, Adewale, grows up to join a white skinhead gang led by a white supremacist. The movie follows Adewale’s journey as he tries to find his place in the world and ultimately comes to terms with his identity. Farming is an eye-opening look at race and identity in Britain, and it is sure to provoke discussion and debate.
The autobiographical movie premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival on 8 September and won the Michael Powell Award at the 2019 Edinburgh Film Festival.
