Afrobeats sensation Davido is set to make history with his first-ever concert at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden. As part of his highly anticipated Timeless Tour, the performance will take place on April 17, 2024. Alongside this milestone show, Davido will also be performing at Montreal’s Place Bell on April 19 and Orlando’s Additional Financial Arena on April 24. These North American concerts, produced by Duke Concept, are expected to draw massive crowds.
In a statement to Billboard, Davido expressed his excitement about the upcoming event, saying, “Seven years ago, I walked past Madison Square Garden and looked at it, and said ‘We gonna come back and shut this down.’ So to be here now, able to play Madison Square Garden, in New York, one of the first cities and fans to embrace my music, at this iconic venue… it’s a dream come true.”
This performance at Madison Square Garden signifies a major achievement for him. Furthermore, Davido has been nominated for Best African Music Performance for his summer hit “Unavailable” with Musa Keys and Best Global Music Album for his fourth studio album, Timeless, ahead of the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Released on March 31, 2023, via Davido Music Worldwide, Timeless features 17 tracks and reached No. 37 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on World Albums. The title track, “Timeless,” reached No. 3 on both U.S. Afrobeats Songs and World Digital Song Sales.
