An African Giant Chukwuemeka Afigbo is record-setting. He works tirelessly and daily in driving Facebook’s global developer programs strategy. By collaborating with the tech ecosystem, he helps Facebook continue to bridge the gap between people from around the world and bring them closer together.
Before joining this record-breaking team, Chukwuemeka led Platform Partnerships in Middle East & Africa, and worked with all sorts of content developers and partners to make the platform more relevant globally. Even before that, Chukwuemeka was at Google from 2011 – 2015 as a program manager on their developer relations team–helping to grow the tech ecosystem in Sub Saharan Africa and other emerging markets.
Chukwuemeka Afigbo is no regular Joe. With a record of success in projects and initiatives across Sub Saharan Africa and the Indian Sub-continent, spanning the education and electronic payment verticals, it’s no wonder he caught the eye of Google.
His impressive academic record includes an Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Nigeria, along with Masters Degrees in Technology Innovations Management from Carleton University Ottawa and a Certificate in Advanced Project Management from Stanford University.
