Zlatan stated during an interview with UK media personality, Samuel Eni.

And why did he say yes to this particular movie? Well, Zlatan has always wanted to act, but he didn’t want to star in just any movie. “I have always wanted to act” While adding “But I didn’t want it to be just any kind of movie”. He stated. He wanted something special, something that would showcase his talent and wow audiences. And it seems like he found exactly what he was looking for in ‘Gangs of Lagos’.
