    In a world dominated by technology, Ire Aderinokun stands out as a shining example for aspiring tech gurus. From building her first website at age 13 to becoming Nigeria’s first female Google Developer Expert, Ire’s story is inspiring and captivating.

    With her blog, Bitsofco.de, she offers coding advice to fellow programmers and also runs a tiny scholarship scheme to allow Nigerian women to take an Udacity Nanodegree in a technology-related profession of their choice.

    Ire is not only an inspiration but also the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Helicarrier, a software development firm that helps small businesses scale up by building mobile applications. After obtaining a master’s degree in Law from University of Bristol, Ire rediscovered her interest in computer science while studying for her degree.

    The tech guru explored her passion further and delved into coding with HTML and CSS after stumbling across Codecademy tutorials online. She also created two apps; one for Android phones and another for websites.

    Since then she has gone on to do amazing things like co-founding a startup called BuyCoins with three other entrepreneurs in 2017 that allows users buy cryptocurrency using Naira cards on their platform. The startup received funding from Y Combinator which allowed them to launch the product properly in 2018.

    They have since been able to expand the business beyond Nigeria. In 2019 , Ire was awarded the Google Developer Expert Award which recognized her work as an open source developer advocating for better web standards .She has also spoken at conferences such as React Amsterdam 2019 about using modern JavaScript techniques for creating better user experiences.
