Talented actress, British Nigerian, Bunmi Mojekwu played Aunty Sunbo in Nigerian comedy series “Jenifa’s Diary” and as Mercy Olubunmi in British soap opera EastEnders.
She featured as Aunty Sunbo in “Jenifa’s Diary” created by Funke Akindele, series 7 to 8 which is centered around Jenifa’s epic journey to London.
Bunmi is energetic and has a fantastic charisma that makes her an enjoyable character to watch. In fact, she brought this energy along in “Jenifa’s Diary” which made it worthwhile.
Jenifa’s diary is an educative, hilarious, and entertaining comedy series, in its 22 seasons, and still active and ongoing.
Bunmi’s impact on the popular British soap EastEnders has been described as funny, warm, sensitive and rather mysterious by Executive producer Diederick Santer.
Bunmi is also known for her role in Channel 4’s Disarming Britain hit film, FALLOUT, where she played the character, Ronnie.
