    African Giants are coming out and counting, when they are coming in this context, you better come ready. As recorded in Beyoncé’s latest album, “Black Is King” arrives on Disney Plus on 31st July 2020.

    The  musical film and visual album serves as a visual companion to the 2019 album “The Lion King: The Gift”, a tie-in album curated by Beyoncé for the 2019 remake of “The Lion King”.

    According to the title of the album, “Black Is King” was recorded in locations such as South Africa, West Africa (including Ghana and Nigeria), New York, Los Angeles, London and Belgium. and took over a year to complete. The cast and crew were recruited to “represent diversity and connectivity”. The album features top class African and American music artists including Pharrell Williams, Shata Wale as well as a prominent supporting role from her daughter Blue Ivy.

    The album potrays a celebration of African Giants all over the world with more of the dancers and singers drawn from the rich cultural and traditional African dance steps as done in the traditional tales by moonlight culture of the African People.

    Beyonce has once echoed the beauty of the Black culture as it is centered on music and dancing, she corraborated the “Black is King” album with attributes from mostly the West and South of Africa with languages such as Nigeria Slang, Zulu and Xhosa returing.

    Much as Lemonade took inspiration from the Gullah culture of Georgia and South Carolina, “Black Is King” pays respect to the people of Africa continent.

    Beyoncé announced “Already” a few hours before the release of “Black Is King” on Disney Plus. See the video below:
