    Omotola, Genevieve profiled in new books on leadership, success

    Two Nollywood veteran actresses Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade, along with a selected few musicians, movie stars and business executives have been profiled in two new books by Azuh Arinze, a Publisher, and the editor-in-chief of Yes International Magazine.

    On the 29th of June, 2020, Azuh Arinze announced the launch of his literary pieces titled, Success Is Not Served A La Carte and Encounters. Both write-ups talked about his personal encounters with Dora Akunyili Bianca Ojukwu, Olusegun Osoba, Rotimi Amaechi, Festus Keyamo, Gbenga Adeyinka, Jim Ovia, Dele Momodu, Onyeka Onwenu, Tony Elumelu, Julius Agwu, and a few others.

    In Azuh Arinze’s new book Success Is Not Served A La Carte, he profiles two successful Nigerian women: African Giants Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade. Both women have overcome significant obstacles to achieve success in their respective fields. Nnaji, a renowned actress, producer, and director, got her start in the entertainment industry at a young age and quickly made a name for herself. Today, she is one of the most popular and respected figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

    Omotola Jalade, a singer, and actress has also had a hugely successful career. She has served as an inspiration to many Nigerians. She has used her platform to speak out on important issues affecting Nigeria, such as violence against women and human trafficking. Omotola Jalade made her debut in the industry back in 1995, and since then, she has featured in about 300 films, which have sold over a million copies.

    Genevieve was the lead actress in the Netflix movie, Lionheart, and the first actress to win the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2005. In 2011, she was made a member of the Order of the Federal Republic, alongside Stephanie Okereke, Olu Jacobs and Kanayo O Kanayo among others by the Nigerian government, as a reward for her contributions to the Nollywood industry.
