Sola Sobowale, veteran actress, screenwriter, director, and producer, an African Giant Sola Sobowale known for her remarkable acting skills celebrates her birthday on the 26th of December.
Her claim to stardom came from the Superstory series, “Oh Father, Oh Daughter;” she earned her nickname through the same TV series, ‘Toyin Tomato.’
“Super Story” TV Series was very much the hottest at the time attracting a good amount of views from Africans in the diaspora. Toyin Tomato & Suara played their roles remarkably well.
In the early 2000s. Toyin Tomato (Sola Sobowale) came across as energetic, fierce and strict yet a very enticing character to watch. It was easy to feel empathy towards the man who so much loved her, seeing how she toyed with his money and emotions & eventually dumped him.
Her amazing performances in the movie ‘The Wedding Party’, helped make the movie one of the best movies produced in 2016.
