An Africa Giant Anthony Joshua is set to have a rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr in order to regain his heavyweight titles. The payout for this fight will break the record for the highest amount paid for a British fight. With a pay of £46m, Joshua would be cashing out big, regardless of the outcome of the match.

The talented boxer who once held five different heavyweight titles including the Unified Heavyweight Championship is setting a goal to recover all the titles he lost to Ruiz at the rematch.

Anthony Joshua was defeated in June, 2019 in a very unexpected twist. After having remained undefeated for 22 matches, the loss came as a shock to the world. As a result of the outcome of the fight, Joshua had to surrender four of his belts to Ruiz Jr.

The rematch is scheduled to take place on the 7th of December in Saudi Arabia. However, the venue of the fight has received a lot of backlash from all around the world as the oil nation is presently embroiled in allegations concerning violation of human rights.

Saudi Arabia emerged as the victor of the bidding war that ensued between the nation and other cities like New York and Las Vegas. According to news outlets, Joshua is set to earn the largest amount of money in the history of British boxing.

Jackson’s payment will break the record set by Ricky Hatton who earned £20m for going against Floyd Mayweather in 2007.

However, Ruiz Jr. will be paid a little more than £10m for the rematch. This amount is far lesser than Joshua’s proposed earnings for his appearance at the fight.

The highest pay Anthony Joshua had received was the £18m he was given when he first fought against Andy Ruiz Jr at Madison Square Garden earlier on in June.

His earnings are projected to even exceed the £46m as Sky Sports will charge up to £24.95 for viewing the match. Joshua is expected to win this rematch, just like he had the world rooting for him in the first fight.
