Music artist Shasha Damilola Alesh, aka Dice Ailes, became well recognized following the release of his song titled “Otedola”.

In a music industry where there is an overwhelming competition among artists, there are high expectations from artists who need to stand out to get the recognition they need, particularly for upcoming artist.

Dice Ailes was clever for his song “Otedola” in how he captivated his audience with the metaphor in his lyrics, the description of popular characters which made the song captivating. Those characters that were mentioned in his lyrics have similar characteristics reflecting what they are easily recognized for.

Some of the lyrics included: Otedola with the money, Ramsey Noah with the love, Okocha with the balling, Maggi with the sauce. He also made sure with the colourful video production and all the money flying in the air.

The beat of his song stood out due to the mixture of Afropop with Trap which is not very common yet as most music sounds tend to focus more in one direction than the mixtures, all that loud kicks, snappy snares, and low-end bass added that extra vibe to the song.

Dice schooled in Nigeria, Republic of Benin, and Ghana then relocated to Canada where he studied at York University and also started his musical career before relocating back to Nigeria after his record deal with Chocolate City in 2014.

He started out as a church choir, however, gained recognition in 2016 for his CKay-produced single “Miracle” featuring Lil Kesh which was released on 20th of September 2016.

He has had several collaborations over the years with other music artists. He also collaborated recently with music artist Folarin Falana a.k.a Falz in a song titled “Alakori”.
