    Ime Archibong is a Nigerian, he worked as an Advanced Technology Business Development Professional at IBM (International Business Machine). Ime started his career at IBM as a software engineer while working in the Systems and Technology Group for some time before stepping up to the IBM Corporate Strategy team and then to Business Development.

    Ime Archibong became Facebook’s head of new product experimentation about one year ago, he is tasked with the responsibility of finding the company’s next hit product. He is also in addition to his leadership on the product side among the most important voices in Facebook’s efforts around diversity and equality.

    Ime Archibong plays a unique role in Mark Zuckerberg’s close confidants. For nearly a decade, Zuckerberg has turned to Ime Archibong any time he’s come up with ideas for special projects at Facebook. Archibong is also Zuckerberg’s point person in dealing with third-party developers. Outside of the office, the two executives are running buddies.

    While Archibong, 38, has been a critical player at Facebook since joining the company in 2010, his position has continuously changed over time, today his position is more central than ever; he’s the company’s head of new product experimentation, which means he is responsible for helping Facebook find its next big hit.

    Ime Archibong holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Yale University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a native of North Carolina USA and Nigeria where his parents are from. His father is from Uyo in Akwa Ibom State but he grew up in Aba,  Abia State, Nigeria, his mother is from Enugu State.
