Nigerian French singer and songwriter Aṣa Bukola Elemide releases her new official single “Beginning” on Tuesday the 14th of May. Aṣa was born in Paris to Nigerian parents who were into cinematography in France but her family returned to live in Nigeria when she was two years old. Aṣa grew up in Lagos city Nigeria and returned to Paris at 20yrs old for her college education at the IMFP school of Jazz music.
Aṣa’s music style is a mix of Yoruba language, hip hop, reggae, jazz, soul, and pop and has won several awards. The singer-songwriter, music producer, and actress may have loose touch with her Nigerian fans and opportunities for her music career in Nigeria after leaving Nigeria for France in 2005, however, studying Jazz music in France was going to advance her music.
